This sensor, by monitoring intake manifold vacuum, measures the amount of load being placed on the engine. The MAP sensor relays engine loadoutput to the ECU, which in turn adjusts fueling for optimum performance and economy. Available as 1 bar, 2 bar, 3 bar or 5 bar sensors.
