The Rattler 2000™ pendulum absorber controls the amplitude of vibration like no other harmonic dampener available. Because, unlike other harmonic dampeners, the Rattler absorbs ALL of the torsional vibration, as well as troublesome harmonics that can develop. This ability to absorb rather than simply dampen is the key to its success.
The Rattler helps the engine run smoother at all engine rpm, extending crankshaft and bearing life and dramatically increasing valvetrain stability and life. It uses no fluids, elastomers or friction materials, totally eliminating maintenance. This also makes it one of the lightest dampeners of its type.
No pulley or crank trigger shims are required. Integral timing marks are etched into the body, so they can't move relative to the crankshaft centerline. This unique and patented absorber is available in 6.25" and 7.25" diameters (8" for external balanced Chevrolets). CNC machined to exacting tolerances, it carries the SFI 18.1 Certification.
